Midleton Very Rare – February 19, 2013

Date Tasted: February 19, 2013
Whisky / Whiskey: Midleton
Expression: Very Rare
Distiller: Irish Distillers International Ltd
Type: Whiskey
Country / Region: Ireland
Bottling Size: 750ml
ABV: 40.0%
Cost (Cdn): $180.30

Wow.  There is good reason that this liquid has won multiple, prestigious awards… Our membership unanimously enjoyed it. The box (with dovetailed corners) adds a nice touch of class.

This is not an in-your-face whiskey.  Elegant and smooth. Complex, yet subtle. Extremely well balanced, with a beautiful finish.

(It is truly unfortunate that this is $180 a bottle. If you have the opportunity, try it!)
